In our laboratory we can perform accelerated aging tests recreating environmental conditions and play back the aggression due to atmospheric and chemical agents. This allows for an accelerated aging of a material and / or component, and assess the degree of degradation, the duration and resistance.
The accelerated aging tests provide very valuable information in both the design phase and product development, such as in the choice of material more suitable for use, both for benchmarking, both for production testing quality assurance.
The main tests that we perform with our instrumentation:
- resistance to’ Sunlight and weater resistance (Xenotest, UV test) sec. ISO 105 B02, ISO 105 B04, SAE J2527, ISO 4892-2, MIL-STD 810F, etc.
- resistance to ozone sec. ISO 1431, 3011, 7326, ASTM D 1149, 4575, 3395, 518, FROM 53 509
- exposure climatic chamber with temperature and humidity control according to the specific needs of the customer
- shock termico (-60°C/+160°C) according to specific customer requirements
- thermal cycles in explosion-proof climatic chamber by 1200 liters and 600 liters of volume
- proof of resistance to saline mist (salt fog) sec. ISO 9227, ASTM B117, etc
- Mixed Flowing Gases testing , according to the regulations IEC 60068-2-60 and FROM 40046-37 to check the resistance of air pollution components and boards (H₂S, Cl₂, SO₂, NO₂).
- preparation of functional tests in temperature according to customer specifications.
Through the XENOTEST we submit for 'accelerated exposure components and specimens to light recreating the same aging effects by' solar radiation products, with the temperature and humidity control of the room. We are also able to perform simulation of 'rain in the presence or absence of irradiation, recreating the most varied environmental conditions to ensure similar results to the actual conditions of use of a product.
For the control of test parameters we rely on advanced equipment such as’Atlas Alpha+.
With the ozone resistance test we can evaluate the strength of materials, mainly rubbers or polymers, Prolonged exposure in an environment with high concentrations of ozone.
Our tools allow you to recreate environmental types, controlling the main parameters as: temperature, relative humidity and concentration of ozone.
The control of the test parameters simulate the effects that would produce the actual environment on a material or component is constantly exposed.
In our test lab ozone you can expose your components to many different environmental conditions, as required by the reference standards.
It's’ possible to recreate an environment with concentrations between 0 and 500 pphm, temperatures between +5 e +70°C, relative humidity 40-90%.

We can perform tests to simulate thermal cycles on materials and components, with temperature ranges from + 200 ° C up to -70 ° C, controlling level of humidity desired. We have rooms with internal volume up to 1,2 mᶟ, with ability to insert of considerable size components or more components simultaneously.
The instrumentation used for these tests is produced by an industry leader like Angelantoni ACS.
Our capital equipment enable us to formulate special stages on specific customer needs. In fact, thanks to the presence of two explosion-proof environmental chambers, We can perform tests in temperature with the presence of hazardous liquids (such as solvents, lubricants, blends of gasoline etc ..) and electrical drives, testing the resistance of a material or an artifact in particular chemical attack.
We can perform thermal shock tests and thermal cycles on specimens and components with rapid temperature excursions from +200°C a -80°C. The thermal shock caused by the sudden change in temperature allows to assess whether the boundary conditions under which the materials were subjected have caused problems impairing the functionality.
MIXED FLOWING GASES TESTING (MFG) o NOXIOUS TEST
We can refer to noxious test samples and specimens to verify the resistance of a material to exposure to harmful gases accordance with rules IEC 60068-2-60 (flowing mixed gases corrosion test) and FROM 40046-37 or customer specifications. The tests are performed in a climatic chamber specially equipped with a system for the simultaneous introduction and the dosage of different corrosive gases (H₂S, Cl₂, SO₂, NO₂) within the test compartment.
TESTS IN SALT SPRAY
We carry out corrosion resistance test on different types of materials in the room saturated saline fog with possibility to adjust temperature, humidity and pH, to ensure the correct procedure of the regulations specified by the customer. Specifically, we are able to perform: corrosion tests in a room with neutral salt spray, acetic saline mist, cupro-saline-acetic CASS ( according to the standards ISO 9227 and ASTM B117).
TESTS OF EROSION A SOLID
We perform solid-erosion testing in accordance with ASTM G76, to test the resistance of the surfaces of materials, coatings, platings, epoxy resins, welding, paints. The test sample introduced in camera air Jet, It is hit by a flow of air loaded with abrasive particles which affect the surface. It is then quantified the weight loss per unit of time representing the degree of erosion or wear rate of the material tested.
